We would like to draw your attention to the networking session: Local Initiatives for Skills, Jobs, Social Inclusion and Economic Development to be held during the 6th Forum meeting on 17 February 2010 (9:15 – 10.15). This session will provide an excellent opportunity for all Forum members to exchange knowledge with peers and establish professional networks and contacts. A series of short interactive sessions will be organised featuring discussions around selected presentations of innovative initiatives and other topics of interest to partnership practitioners.
On 9-10 February 2009, the 5th Annual Meeting of the OECD LEED Forum on Partnerships and Local Governance took place in Vienna. "Building Strong Partnerships with the Private Sector for Better Jobs and Inclusion" was the topic of the conference, attracting more than 150 participants from 30 different countries (from all continents with the exception of Africa).
The OECD LEED Programme has just released a report on "Enhancing the Capacity of Partnerships to Influence Policy” which gathers the experience of the two capacity building seminars organised by the Trento Centre for Local Development in close co-operation with the Forum office unit at the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) in Vienna Austria. See webpage here or go to the cybrary to access the report.
